LASA requires children to be registered with a Centre before being able to attend Association events. The registration fee covers both the summer athletics and the winter cross-country programs and includes insurance and administration costs. Unregistered athletes are not covered by insurance and will not be able to participate.

Membership
Athletes must participate in groups determined by their age at the 31st of December. Age groups range from Under 6 to Under 17, in both girls and boys. HLAC accepts children into the Tiny Tots program from their 3rd birthday.
Come’n’Try
Provided your child has not previously participated in Little Athletics, you are welcome to attend two Trial sessions, at no cost, before full registration is required.
Fees 2026/27
Registrations are now open. This year there are no transaction costs when you sign up and pay, therefore, whilst rates have increased by $5, you are not being charged the $6.50 transaction fee, therefore they have actually gone down.
The fees to register with Hills LAC per year are:
Full Season (u6-u17)
• 1st Child – $220
• 2nd Child – $215
• 3rd Child – $205
• 4th Child – $185
Tiny Tots (u4-u5)
• 1st Child – $205
Half Season (starting Jan 2027)
• 1st Child – $140
• 2nd Child – $135
• 3rd Child – $130
• 4th Child – $120
Tiny Tots (u4-u5)
• 1st Child – $130
Recreational Membership (No times/uniform required-Suitable for winter sport prea-season)
• 1st Child – $120
SALAA Family Rebates available to families who register 3 or more athletes in the same season. Families will need to submit a form to apply for the rebate. Payment of the Rebate to the original payment method to be processed within 10 business days of approval. The Rebates provided are:
• $30 rebate for 3rd athlete only
• $60 rebate for 4th athlete
Hills LAC has a NO CANCELLATION fee policy for their portion of the fees.
The Centre is GST exempt and so does not levy GST. It does however pay GST on its inputs (LASA affiliation fees, equipment purchases etc).
Winter Season Only Registration Fees – Cross Country and Race Walking (the winter season is free if full registration was paid during the summer program)
